The practice was opened in 1990 by Gillian and Paul Sherratt.
It has grown and developed over the past 30 years and offers the very best in clinical care and product choice. One of the first practices in the country to provide digital retinal photography and OCT scanning, we have extensive experience in ocular imaging.
With a wide range of products from leading manufacturers of spectacles and contact lenses, the emphasis is always on quality and good service.
Upon Gillian and Paul’s retirement, ownership of the practice has been passed to Cheryl Goodwin and Sarah Caddy, both of whom have worked alongside Gillian for many years.
The practice has continued to thrive under the new ownership and will continue to provide the same outstanding service for many years to come.

MEET THE TEAM
Sarah Caddy BSc (Hons) MCOptom Optometrist
I have been an Optometrist for 23 years, the last 17 spent here at Sherratt Opticians, working alongside Gillian.
Having now taken over the practice with Cheryl I am relishing the challenge of running a business alongside my clinical role.
I love to meet new people and if I can fix their eyesight problem at the same time then that’s my perfect day!
Outside of work I enjoy playing the saxophone in a jazz band and spending time with my gorgeous children.
Cheryl Goodwin FBDO Dispensing Optician and Practice Manager
I have worked in the Optical profession since 1992, originally in a multiple practice before moving on to independent practice in 1994 and qualifying from Anglia Ruskin University in 1995.
Having taken over the practice alongside Sarah has ensured we can continue to provide Crewe, and the surrounding area with exceptional independent eye care.
In my free time, I have a love of musical theatre and singing and recently joined a local choir. I also confess to an obsession with rollercoasters!!
Emma Bennett Optometrist
Emma joined the team in July 2019 as a visiting Locum Optometrist, and also spends time working at the Leighton Hospital Eyecare Clinic.
Michaela Hine, Optical and Dispensing Assistant; City and Guilds Retinopathy Screener
Since starting here in 2008 I have gained a qualification in diabetic retinopathy screening.
Outside work, I enjoy going on long walks with my dog.
